How can we help?
Answers to the most common questions about creating groups, sending to everyone at once, templates, and your subscription. Still stuck? Contact us.
Tap the + button to add a new group, give it a name, then add contacts from your address book. Your groups are saved so you can reuse them every time you want to message the same people.
Open a group and tap Send. Group Text hands your message to the iOS Messages composer for each recipient so everyone gets it. You can send manually, confirming each message, or use automatic mode to send the batch hands-free.
Group Text sends an individual message to each recipient, so there is no shared group thread and no reply-all. To make sure messages go out individually rather than as a group conversation, keep your iPhone's Messages settings configured as described in the next answer.
For individual delivery, make sure Group Messaging is turned off in Settings > Messages, and that Send as SMS is on. If you want messages sent as SMS rather than iMessage, you can also disable iMessage. These settings ensure each contact receives a separate message.
Create templates in Settings, then choose one when you send so you don't have to retype your go-to messages. Templates are great for reminders, announcements, and updates you send regularly. Creating custom templates is a premium feature.
Yes. Use merge tags when composing so each message automatically includes the recipient's name. Every person receives a message that reads as if it were written just for them. Personalization is a premium feature.
When sending to a big list, use Split to break the group into smaller batches and send them in turn. This keeps large sends manageable. Group splitting is a premium feature.
Yes. You can add a photo as an MMS or iMessage attachment. To send attachments, make sure MMS Messaging or iMessage is enabled in Settings > Messages. Note that some carriers limit or do not support MMS attachments.
The free version lets you try the core experience with up to 3 groups and up to 5 recipients per send, without templates. Premium unlocks unlimited groups, sending to more than 5 contacts, message templates, name personalization, and group splitting.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple through your App Store account. On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select Group Text to change or cancel your plan. Apple's guide walks through the steps: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039
